It was a dark and stormy night… but the fall festival happened anyway. Thanks to everyone who braved the elements to join us. While there was a light drizzle, plenty of wind, and the temperatures were dropping, we still had a great time!
There were 10 different kinds of chili entered in the chili cook off. The Branch family won first place with their family recipe. “Canadian Chili” by Dorcas Hallam took second prize. Third place was a tie between recipes by the Hunt and Andrew’s family.
Our gathering was featured in the Chronicle Tribune, our local paper, the next day on the front page, which was a nice surprise.
Martin and I shared a brief report of the progress on the farm over the past year. It’s hard to believe that 13 growing seasons are behind us! We’ve come a long way, and we are looking forward to a bright future.
Thanks for all of your support.
From the Farm,
Eric Himelick, Director
